First Round of Anti-Women’s Health Bills are Heard in the House

Last week, the House Committee on Children and Families held public hearings for the first of over a dozen anti-women’s health bills that have been filed this year. The hearing room was packed with teens, doctors, and women who testified against these restrictive bills. They made the case that adding politically motivated restrictions is not in the best interest of Missouri women. The teens were especially persuasive when urging the legislators to focus on proactive measures like addressing the lack of comprehensive sex education in our schools. Read our 2015 Bill Summary for more detail on each bill.
